- Story
-
I was always impressed with the Humanities Council's depth and breadth in connecting with Utah's ethnic communities. I was particularly impressed from the perspective that I noticed the Humanities Council had a relationship with the Latin American community. They had relationships. There were people they knew who were also from the Native American society.
They had networks in diverse communities, the ones that I grew up celebrating, to provide accolades for, and to advocate for; and the Humanities Council was there. And so, the Humanities Council, in my mind, I interpret them as a state-based organization that had profound networks in diverse communities.
They were a significant instrument in my growth and integrity that I’ve experienced here, in the State of Utah. - Date
